Us Four
Stuck back in the shadowy days
recorded in shades of grey
from black to white
where there was
the most light.
Attempts to find colors.
To again be who we were,
back when escaping each other
was almost impossible.
Wishing now we hadn’t
found so many ways.
The reference photo for this quick
sketch was an old black and white.
My siblings and me, when forced
to stop whatever we were doing at a summer cottage to be us four.
