modeled for a costumed figure drawing session yesterday wearing equipment from
his boxing days. It was clear he still isn’t sure those days are over. There
were poses requested to get a better view of his face he objected to. His
trainer/coach would have a fit, he said, leaving him so open to an easy blow to
the head.
1st
and 2nd: 9”x 12” fountain pen, oil sanguine and chalk on toned paper
3rd
and 4th: 17”x 14” ballpoint pen on mixed use paper.

and he is so right never expose your face these are sensational Anthony, each stance as in waiting and fighting and falling is the dance of the boxer, I feel like I'm in the audience, bravo Anthony wow x
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting drawing the protection around his head instead of the portrait.. It became the portrait in a way.
DeleteI was wondering about the audience.. A bigger audience would probably have been needed for his career as a fighter to have advanced.

DeleteOh WOW...he so jumps out of the picture...I am transported into the ring...I hear the cheering of the crowd...feel the nervousness of the boxers...the dreadful humiliation as the felling blow is delivered...the shame of lying there, so publicly, on the floor.
