How DO you achieve such fabulous results with charcoal? Wow...look at that wonderful skin tone...all that blending certainly does pay off. She is presented here as incredibly sensual and sexy...and so, so alive! :)
Thank you I appreciate the praise. I have been drawing with charcoal for years. I do like what can be accomplished with the medium. I don’t enjoy the process of smearing and erasing though, required for good results.
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.

ReplyDeleteToo much erasing and blending is part of the process. I like mediums that are more direct. I like lines..

This one is just wonderful!I am missing my charcoal now:) You did very well with this..why avoid charcoal..do some more!
