Again, Dancing in Red
She
was in the same costume and pose this morning for the second week. I painted
her again from a slightly different vantage point in the studio. The invented
background needs more work.
15”x
20” watercolor on cold press
How fabulous...she reminds me of a Spanish flamenco dancer!
ReplyDeleteShe is so amazing...the background is irrelevant..truly.
She is all I see...:)
Thank you
DeleteShe brought in her own music to paint her by. It was of course flamingo☺
Bonjour Anthony,
ReplyDeleteJe trouve que vous avez eu raison de lui broder ce beau décor... Il apporte un merveilleux contraste à cette belle femme. Elle paraît si pensive...
Gros bisous et bon weekend
I was trying to place her outside the walls of the studio.. She belongs in a better place for in her thoughts.

You're wrong Anthony this is splendid, I love how you drew the wood-like terrace below...it's

Your being kind.

She looks rather danced out! I agree, the background is irrelevant. She is all we see, and I like the touch of red in her hair.
ReplyDeleteA second week in the same pose is a challenge. The model is bored. Those painting a second painting were either happy with the first or wishing they didn’t have to face the same challenging pose again.
DeleteShe had some red flowers in her hair..
