“L”
in Red
She
posed earlier this afternoon. I sketched her in with a black sharpie and spent
much of the rest of the session deciding which lines to cover with paint.
No
this is not the “L" I live with. She refuses to pose.
16”x
20” Acrylic on stretched canvas.
Cher Anthony bonjour,
ReplyDeleteUne oeuvre qui m'émotionne. Le choix de ces nuances rouges apporte une grande présence. Un très joli travail...
J'aime la douceur que traduit son visage.
Gros bisous
She does have a kind face, and the combined coloring of her complexion and dress was fun.
DeleteEnjoy the holiday weekend too.
Thank you
PS : J'oubliais !! Je vous souhaite de très jolies fêtes pascales ! Mangez beaucoup de chocolat ! Bisous
ReplyDeleteSo many meanings of red...interesting sketch
ReplyDeleteI agree, though less thought to meanings was on my mind while painting her.
DeleteVery pretty lady in red, so you live with an L. interesting....red is passion, follows that....brilliant sketch
ReplyDeleteThe “L” I live with is pretty too☺
DeleteThe passion in this case was in how much red appeared in this model and her simple pose.
Thank you
She is stunning in red...reminds me of a deep scarlet sunset - in summer, of course!
ReplyDeleteA magnificent portrait...:)
Red does seem to encourage stronger memories, and I agree more so in summer.
DeleteThank you
