There is so much in this painting, the details are amazing, happy to see your mom again, I wonder if the people in the back were upset about not being shown, this truly an excellent representation of the past in such extreme beauty
It seems like they were talking and stopped for sec to pose for the photo..and little girl maybe was overwhelmed by adults' attention...very vivid picture, love it!
There is something so poignant about this wonderful painting. I'm not sure if it is the fact that it is a moment in time captured forever...or if it is the intrigue of the story behind it...I just long to spirit myself into the frame and become a part of it...:)
I think it’s the posing, the obvious placement of the children, and overt attention directed to one. A typical photograph, I suppose, though I couldn’t resist this attempt..
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.

Bonjour cher Anthony,

DeleteDrawing from these old photos is sort of like taking a look through another lens and seeing into a previous lives.
