  1. Something about her...the artist (you) catches the unconscious move to from her left arm to her left calf...or so I think, you might have just added it for your pleasure, either way, awesome

    1. So much of this pose, I spent on her face, coming back to it over and over again as I laid out the rest of her, which seemed to slowly sag as I ran out of time.
      Thank you

  2. Oh poor "J"...such a feeling of dejection emanates from her.
She has been well and truly caught...but in what respect, I cannot as yet tell.
I'll need a little longer to fathom this one out...but my gut feeling is that she has been duped in some way...and she is really suffering the blues...:(
    Wonderful sketch though...so fully alive.:))

    1. It is a blue’s type of pose and drawing.. The story waiting to be finished, knowing it will be sad. I do like the possibilities proposed☺
      Thank you

  3. I feel she is in the control and balance right now as her right arm supports the body, while left - creatively flowing along wit soul/heart, eyes reflects the deep inside browsing...~ very successful sketch MHO.

    1. I agree with the assessment. The pose is one I have seen “J” get into many times in the past, though the first time where I have sketched her from this vantage point. She is always in control..
      Thank you
