Portrait Sketches

Portrait Sketches

A quick sketch of faces from recent sessions “ST” and “R”.
Both: 9”x 12” fountain pen, sanguine and chalk on toned paper.

  1. I always simply adore your portraits, and these are no exception!
    Oh wow...such expressions...so differing.
    The first speaks to me of supreme self-confidence and power;
    the second seems diametrically opposite - he is withdrawn, unsure of what to think or say. Oh such downcast eyes...makes me feel sad for him.:(
    Another couple of masterpieces, Anthony!
    Truly magnificent...:)

    Have a Great Weekend.:))

    1. The older model, “R” of course is left playing the part of the withdrawn and sad.. The younger model “ST” obviously hasn’t had to endure the additional years☺
      Thank you

    1. Both are regular models I have been drawing from for years.. We’re getting old together, or so it seems.
      Thank you
