Thank you I do get in a hurry sometimes wanting to get as much down as possible on these shorter poses. She had pronounced bones along the lower eye cavities, but no, not Asian.
I like these multiple poses partly because the model becomes not just her, but a number of familiar hers together, having a common moment.. I wish sometimes I could do this as easily with myself☺
How many models do you sketch? Wonderful sketches here, I especially like the middle sketch, she looks like she is in deep though and looking a bit tired in the last one. In the first one, she looks a bit stern ... Oh, I like all of these!
I have quite a list.. It’s nice when a new model comes along. Some I schedule for programs I run. Most of the same models also pose for sessions run by others that I attend. I think she was tired near the end. She is relatively new to this modeling thing.. Thank you
It was fun having her not really move that much between these poses, just tilting her head in different directions. It lead to a variety of attitudes☺ Thank you
Well in the first one she has the attitude of Maw if not the look, but on the other two there is some worries but something kind, something loving i don't know how you can do that, sketch an expression of love, i'd always think it was your mom simply from that loving face you drew
I think as we get older we emulate some stereotypical attitudes, at least enough that they show up in our faces. She did remind me a bit of my mom.. Maybe why I liked her? Thank you
I love these three aspects of "RS"...almost seems like three different people. This got me thinking about how even just a slight shift of position can make a huge difference in the eyes of an observer: (from right to left) she is annoyed; defiant; and then sad and feeling a little timid. There is a story in there somewhere...I just need a little more time to figure this one out! ;)
The repositioning of the her head in each pose was the main point of this exercise. Makes me wonder how I look in the views I can’t see? If anyone can find their story, it will be you.
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.

Nice pen work.I can see that you draw quite fast and furious..don't you! Her cheekbones suggest she was oriental, may be?

Yes, a familiar face-s....and they're hypnotising...especially one looking into eyes....in the middle

Bonjour cher Anthony,
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup ce dernier croquis avec ces trois poses différentes qui révèlent des expressions multiples.
