both magnificent postures the first calm at rest, T about to get his legs in place for a deep yoga meditation...I'm all over the place this morning, and this calms me somehow, it always does...I'm waiting always, for better news, and I wonder if they are too or just waiting in repose until they know
Such tranquility..."A", how I envy you such peace of mind in the midst of this hectic age we live in! "ST", I think, is lost in thought...maybe contemplating a lost love...or just wishing the pose could end soon, as his back is beginning to ache. Or perhaps it is none of these...;)
There really is a sort of tranquility that comes each time I attend a session to draw or paint from a model. I’m sure the models are not in as tranquil a world, as it is in fact work for them. What’s nice is that most of these models are aspiring artists too, or in the least caught up in the imaginary worlds most of us artists live in by years of association.
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.

ReplyDeleteI’m not sure what they were thinking beyond maintaining different poses, on hold for the three hours, until the session would end.
