From the Mouth

I took the reference photo for this sketch last summer from a bridge over a small river where it opened into a small lake, here in town. More of the river and the lake is visible now.

    I long to peer through the branches...to discover the lake beyond.
    Such lush greenery...I see many faeries hidden between the leaves too...:)

      This I painted to escape… Too many people lately. It was nice to be alone in the studio and just paint. But, yes there are some shows coming too.

      My use of color has been limited for a while now. Too much time lately has been in figurative drawing. More color should start showing up as spring arrives.
