Lakes Within

Looking over ancient ruins
Warn down before we came
Escaping a world too large
For a place within


I sketched places near the islands today, making up for the time away.

    this is stunning Anthony I'm speechless can't decide if the poem strikes me the most of the painting, together they are outstanding

    This is another of your wonderful sketches that I just long to step into...to follow my intuition into it's depths and find something precious I had long ago lost...that place within...:)

    Wonderful landscape..you are so good with pens.Have you tried new range of colored graphic pens by Derwent?

      I have tried.. I find the need to decide on pen colors while sketching in the subject and composition,(where I am in my happy place) too stressful.
