A Less Exciting View

A less Exciting View

Another sketch of “MT” from yesterday morning. The lack of light and too many lines have aged him.
(See previous post)
9”x 12” fountain pen and pastel on toned paper.

  1. Aged him maybe...but also added intrigue!
I feel a need to move around to the front of him, to check that he IS actually the same person...something has changed...a wealth of experience is etched in his facial features...and his aura holds enticing secrets...
    Oh I love this! :)

    1. This was such a meek pose. And the light was behind him, placing his face in shadow. A face in shadow begged for more lines.
In the shadows I agree, more intrigue is possible☺
I don’t know of his experience. He so much younger than me.
      Thank you

    1. He definitely looks older in the pose, over the other. I don’t know about great? And he so much younger than how he looks in this sketch.

  3. Different person compare to previous one... and the back is not straight too...sure older. Still we can see the expression on his face despite too many lines.

    1. Yes he is. Amazing how much different one looks depending on the source of light.

  4. I have to disagree, Anthony - this is a wonderful drawing; the line quality, the variety of line - great!
