  1. Bonsoir cher Anthony,

Je ne peux qu'être éblouie à chaque fois que j'admire vos croquis... Vous avez une dextérité extrême pour capturer l'essentiel de vos modèles et d'y ajouter une âme.

    Gros bisous 🌸

  2. WOW...the moment I set eyes upon this fabulous sketch, I thought Boudicca!
Sorry, Anthony...I guess it would have been more appropriate to have chosen a heroin from the USA, but my knowledge of your great nation's history is a bit patchy!:/
Anyway, whoever she represents...here is a true archetype of female power...a great warrior of centuries past.
I am having great fun thinking of costumes for her...:))

    1. Okay. I just spent the last hour looking up Boudicca and her history on Wikipedia.. And of course I will have to look up more on her and her time in history and legend when I am done here. I am embarrassed, not having heard of her before, especially realizing in previous trips, I have seen sculptures and stood in places around London mentioned in my short investigation.
Now I will never see this sketch or “EN”, for that matter the same..
      Thank you..

    2. So sorry for taking up so much of your time, Anthony!
She did live a fascinating life though...and has probably inspired a great many women through the ages.
No need at all to feel embarrassed. As I mentioned earlier, my knowledge of your history is patchy too. I think most of us are probably more familiar with our own historic figures than with those of other countries.
It was your amazing skill in sketching her, along with that "noble" pose, that inspired my thoughts!
The combination of the two is, for me, legendary...:))
