Somewhere Else

Somewhere Else

The river, the trees, the trail,
never really completely there.
Always reminded of being
somewhere else.
Along rivers from a dream,
or an imagined story
evolving with each step
that never seems to be
what is.

Another sketch close to home along the Rouge River where it flows through a park in the city I at the moment exist.

12”x 9” ink and watercolor

  1. Existing here is so inviting! The cool greenery is universal...the Basingstoke canal, near to where I live, is a favourite place...and is very similar to this beautiful sketch!
Oh wow...thank you for this happy memory!
Being so far from home at present was making me homesick...☺☺

    1. Sometimes forget the local places beauty. It takes memories to bring them back. I’m sure it will be the same when access to the local park and river is more than just a short walk.
      Thank you
