Second Portrait of "MG"

Second Portrait of “MG”

She was back in the same pose. Last week the medium was watercolor. Today, from another vantage point in the studio I painted her again with acrylics.
16”x 20” Acrylic on canvas pad

    1. She does seem less excited than the paint stroke. I have to agree..

  2. the first she was almost shy , this i agree more vibrant but to me looks she's telling herself to buckle up, and rise up, she was prettier on the first...

    1. She was pretty much the same both weeks.. Maybe it’s more about how I saw her, one week to the next?

  4. I like this one even more too...oh wow... that glorious golden hair!
There is such a strong sense of presence in this wonderful painting, although in her mind she seems far away...as if reliving an uncomfortable memory...?

    1. Thank you.
I am sometimes surprised how attempts from one week to the next change as I get to know the model. I must admit the watercolor version for me is a more accurate portrait overall. I think she was more comfortable, the second week.
