Waiting

Waiting

A couple of sketches of “E” from a session with her yesterday afternoon.
Both: 9”x12” fountain pen, sanguine and chalk on toned paper

  1. Love the contrasting images of one "E". At the second she is more like a diva, while first sketch all about nurturing, taking care, reminds me your mom's sketches, am I right? Exquisite cross-hutching!

    1. It’s one of the reasons I like sketching from live models rather than photos.. The acting out of each pose can change the perception of attitude so much.
Yes the sketching here is using the same technic as for the previous mom sketches.
      Thank you.

  5. Oh I love this first, she seems so patient, then of course, tired of the wait she gets up and prances around waiting to be made a star by you , and you do it so well Anthony, wonderful

    1. Yes she was so patient… Actually she did the standing post first.. Waiting standing in high heals, does have a different look, than just being bored seated waiting for me to finish another sketch☺
      Thank you

  6. Oh poor "E"!
At first, she is waiting patiently and in excited anticipation...but then we see disappointment and hurt...indicating that she has been stood up.
Oh how could anyone do that to someone so glamorous?
Whoever it was, I predict he/she will soon regret their actions...

I so love the detail in these beautiful sketches, Anthony...wonderful work! :)

    1. Yes “E” portrayed what you are describing so well.. She has lots of experience waiting. She does it so often waiting for guys like me to finish drawing her☺ She was dancing between the poses, just to wake up..
      I agree about the regrets..
      Thank you
