Balance

Balance

Another sketch from the courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, at lunchtime on a very warm day. They could have been anywhere, looking at little screens instead of the wonders around them.
9”x 6” ink and watercolor

  1. Lost my comment....trying again ...they seemed for me playing cards, but then I noticed - no connection...maybe reading books or checking messages...with very warm weather the sketch close to the impression type..

    1. The small screens have replaced the books, the cards, being in the moment. I do understand though finding the sun and enjoying the warmth.

  2. Lost my comment too!
As I was saying...why DO people do that?
It seems these tiny screens have taken over the World.
Human contact has been replaced by something virtual...
I so want to snatch their phones, drag them to their feet and force them to dance with each other...perhaps a subconscious desire to experience first hand what a black eye feels like! Haha:D

I really love this sketch...it is so powerful...:)

    1. I’m smiling.. The small screens consume. They would hardly notice much less darken your eye. They would just go back to the small glowing lights.
      Thank you
