Behind a Harbor Wall

Behind A Harbor Wall

Some working boats in another small village harbor we visited along the North Sea coast between Edinburg and St. Andrews.
I know, the sketch looks a little cartoonish. These two boats did sort of remind me of plastic toys my kids played with on the beach, oh so long ago.
9”x 6” ink and watercolor

I certainly wouldn't describe this sketch as "cartoonish"...I think it captures the spirit of a small Scottish harbor perfectly! :)

    1. In each of these small harbors I felt like I was stepping back in time, to a simpler way of life. It was so easy to forget the present and these harbors still functioning as always have.
