The
Previous Fishing Camp
The
previous attempt
by
the mainland
to
include the islands,
burnt
to the ground.
The
ruins of the attempt
that
followed,
constructed
in stone,
still
remain.
The
abandoned attempt
is
now hidden in trees,
and
continuing mysteries,
of
the missing.
Thinking
with doodles before a model showed up the other day, of what the first attempt
by the mainland might have looked like.

A fantastic and dreamlike sketch. Great work.

Deleteyour sketch, your words, everything you did here makes me unbelievably grateful that you exist...within you views of art and your words of poetry...I'm alone, at last
ReplyDeleteI’m grateful too, knowing my material pleases and has meaning for you.

Nature is always taking a beating ..
ReplyDeleteMay your islands off solitude always remain untouched ...
I always so enjoy seeing your sketches...
And the beating is mostly from our less scrupled fellow humans. Would be nice to be untouched.

A natural disaster...or man-made?
ReplyDeleteIt makes no difference...the loss is the same...yet the latter carries karmic connotations...those still lurking in the ruins will someday rise up and claim their inheritance.
This fabulous sketch suggests a story of mythic proportions.
And this is only the beginning...:)
Yes and this is only the beginning. There is so much to reveal.
