I was seeing her body language in the same way. I added the gull after I thought I was finish, wanting to somehow reduce the message, and memories of similar pain.
of course, she can't hear the bird, he's taking too much and where does he come from, he just appeared maybe with the bird, she wants to keep the bird but the man won't leave without him
Great story… And here I was feeling sorry for the guy☺ I guess, for me as a guy, his plight is easier to relate to. It’s good to see the other view though. Now I’m feeling sorry for both of them and deciding if I’m in the picture, I’m going to be the gull☺ Thank you
Hah! I felt bad for the man. Both are naked. Both are vulnerable. But only one is turned toward the other. The bird sits between them. It is only a bird. But I imagine the woman's anger is held in its beak. Relationships have little chance when lovers are undressed before each other and yet one refuses to be comforted by the other.
You have to feel a little sorry for both of them, I think. Maybe I should have thought to have them dressed.. There are fewer decisions when the figures are left nude. I can ignore fashion, future, present, past, issues of class and to some degree perceptions of personality..
Ah Tony you may well relate to the guy, trying to figure out 'whats wrong"!I wonder how many precious moments we lose in our lifetime- when we decide not to say anything. This composition can be interpreted in many ways, though.Nice job!
It is surprising to me how these drawings develop a life of their own. I’m basically taking models poses and seeing how they might fit together with whatever background I make up, sort of like placing strangers in a room and watching to see how they get along. I do like the various views and ways to relate. Thank you
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.

When a woman does that, it's not always a good sign. I can imagine she is saying, "No, it's okay." And he knows damn well she is lying!
