Dealing
With History
Islands
off Solitude
I
know, I have been getting some mileage from these two figures. I separated them
and placed them in two posts with “History” in the titles earlier in the week.
This
is the original drawing. For whatever reason, a story, and explanation for them
being as they are on this island shore, hasn’t yet become obvious.

Accepting that we might have contributed to all the bad in the world makes you hurt, and who hasn't at one time or the other, wish or done harm unto one....striking drawing
ReplyDeleteIt’s not even a matter of accepting wrong from right, or trying to improve history. This is pure escape this search for solitude. I know it’s wrong to give up, but I did, selfishly looking for my own peace in these final years, hoping history doesn’t find me until I’m no longer here.

I am so afraid that their history is our history too...there are too many regrets...
ReplyDeleteVery thought-provoking, Anthony.
I really like this:)
Getting over the regrets would be hard. Finding a way to escape them has to start somewhere. I can’t think of a better place than on an island, even if only in dreams.

Your Islands of Solitudes will outlive both of us ....:)
