Yesterday in the morning was
spent watching others talk about their and my art.
A new ballpoint pen, not
interested in the conversation, played.
I did the best I could to cover for
the pens lack of interest, and disregard, of work by older tools .
3.5”x 5.5” ballpoint pen on paper
You wrote it so well as the sketches came down in faces and streaks with no meaning but wanting it to be over, they also didn't want to be there so for them you painted them in the colours in your mind and covered the grey, you're awesome even bored, gosh I could drown in you writing, it is magical
ReplyDeleteIt’s funny how a meaning develops, even while entertaining boredom sometimes.

I love the muggy-day feel of this. I could see you sketching away, uninterested in the conversation. Sometimes silence is better than chatter.
ReplyDeleteSometimes silence is better.. keeping conversations with sketch pads is sometimes better too☺

Better to draw, indeed. Well done.
ReplyDeleteYour words...what a fabulous composition, truly representative of liquid dripping...and those melancholy hues...and so wonderfully fitting for the chaos of the sketch, which is deliciously disturbing.
ReplyDeleteYes...time much better spent in sketching than discussion! :)
I’m glad disturbing came through.. I do enjoy the surprise within doodles not purposely being pursued by my brain.
