Returning From the Woods
I’m not sure if they will
Return to us
They appear
Momentarily
Ghosts
I’m not sure if they should
Surrender for us
They
flicker
Temporarily
Enticed
It’s been awhile since the
initial sketch.
22”x 28” acrylic on stretched
canvas
Sketch:
they flow to one another as they float away as their colours slowly runs from one to the other until you don't know who's who...magnificent Anthony, magnificent
ReplyDeleteThey do seem to flow here. I continued working on the painting this morning. They don’t flow anymore. I’ll post where the painting is now, later in the day.

Anthony...I am so in awe of this painting! The figures of the people are there, but they seem to blend in with the woods around them...wonderful! I love the colors that you used and your words are fantastic with this painting~~~
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteThe painting has changed from what I showed here. I hope you approve.
I will post the revised painting later today.
\i didn't think I would like it more, but hey look at a masterpiece I love it even more, very special Anthony
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those paintings I would dearly love to become a part of...to drift into those amazing trees and stay forever!
ReplyDeleteThe phantom-like figures could hide here for all eternity and never be found. That is a concept I find utterly irresistible.
A truly fabulous painting!:)
I find the thought irresistible sometimes too.. If only we could paint magic…
