Island of Rock

Island of Rock

This is a glimpse of an island in the small pond at St. James Park in London. Of course it captured my attention as I looked through the trees out into the pond surrounding an island of rock. It was as if one of my islands off Solitude had been captured and placed, like me, in such a crowded place.

  2. Such a magical find!
So isolated a haven within the hustle and bustle of the city...wow...I see how you could imagine this to be one of your Islands off Solitude.
Isn't it wonderful when you stumble upon a scene so unexpected? :)

    1. The parks in London are wonderful. So many times I was surprised by where I found myself, and how easy it was to escape into what could be imagined.

Well, I’d definitely want to capture such a moment, for a painting, of course☺
