The Listener

The Listener

The street violinist had an audience. I noticed them both when in Paris for a few days last month.
The sculpture is of a writer and philosopher, Denis Diderot, across from Church St. Germain des Pres. The date noted is 1884.
I wonder how many other musicians have played below for him?
9”x 12” fountain pen and chalk and oil sanguine on toned grey paper.

I’ll be here for a while. Even when I get around to opening a web site I’ll probably post daily activity here.

  4. How wonderful that you captured this...the listener the musician may or may not be aware of.
Oh this is simply fabulous! :)

    1. It was a moment waiting to be documented. I’m pretty sure the musician plays there often, never realizing who is listening.
      Thank you
