Hiding
the Horizon
How
close I was,
practically
crossing
between
here and there.
That
opposing invitation
behind
her,
hindering
the view,
just
enough
to
disappear.
“J”
was the model this morning at the drop in life drawing session. I’ve sketched
this view of her so often over the past year.
This
is the first time of course, in the New Year.

Yes, she is hiding the horizon...but is also part of it - it would be lonely without her.
ReplyDeleteI love how every muscle in her back is perfectly defined
I realise I have said this many times before, but you really are so talented, Anthony! :)
Yes, I’m not sure I would want one without the other, though wouldn’t know what I was missing if she wasn’t there.
DeleteThank you
oh beautiful although hiding the Islands should be a crime worthy of banishment, :) I love this so much Anthony, you know i love anything that related to the Islands Off Solitudes, thank you ...
ReplyDeleteShe’s only hiding the horizon at the moment. I assumed she was on the islands I am viewing her from☺
DeleteThank you
Love the words and sketch of course...Today words underline the idea of resistance for me....why we're avoiding something when it's so desirable....
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMaybe at some point we become to easily programmed to not getting what we want.
