Caught In a Web

Caught In a Web

Almost an insult to the spider’s
meticulously spun web.
A true artist at capturing
it’s prey.
As opposed to these chaotic
carelessly laid lines,
hoping a vague likeness
might be captured
somewhere within.

Maybe a stretch. She could just a well be on her back on a bed. Except this was a standing pose, probably held too long.
A sketch of another pose from a session with “VE” just the other day.
5”x 11” ink

Fountain Pens: Platinum Carbon fine point.

  1. My deliciously scary nightmare!;) Yes, I have actually experienced a recurring nightmare of being caught in a giant spider's web - although, thankfully, not for a good few years now!
She appears much too relaxed to be caught in a web...so maybe I'll divert my thoughts to that wonderfully comfortable bed...where the lines are no more than the indentation she has made in the soft quilt.
Yes, will definitely choose this interpretation! *smiles*
    A Fabulous sketch...:))

    1. Sometimes when I start searching with light lines on the page, they remind me of a web being spun. As more lines are added, the prey begins to take shape.
      Thank you
