    you really captured the gesture and expression. i have seen this exact feeling/moment when watching my kids play soccer. I like "Surprised", too. I am going to have to buy one of your ink sketches like that. I can look at them forever, but, I will never dare attempt one.

      The reference photo, for the sketch was taken by my daughter, an nice catch.
      The ink sketches are basically thumbnails of ideas for potential larger paintings. Most are sketched in spiral note pad journals.
