Two
Versions of “D”
The
first was the last drawing in an evening costumed figure session, I attended
yesterday. The second was the last from a pose at the beginning of the same day.
She wasn’t hiding as much when the day started.
Both:
11”x 14” pigment liner on toned gray paper
She goes incognito then bares it all, and wow did you ever draw both beautifully
ReplyDeleteOnly in this case she did just the opposite.

Bonjour,
It is so good to have you back. You were missed.

Interesting. Do you mean she hid more of her personality/spirit while nude, then she did while clothed?
ReplyDeleteI was playing off the sequence of events. She started the day revealing (showing) more. By the end much less was being revealed☺
DeleteThese are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how different a person appears when clothed vs unclothed?
In the first sketch she looks much younger and fresher, whereas in the second, all that vitality and sensuality is hidden...yet still there is an element of mystery (with less revealed, we want to know more!).
Do hope I'm making some sense. The right words are evading me today! :)
Your words are fine.. I know what you mean.
DeleteI think it’s the sunglasses myself that makes the biggest difference. Even if the eyes are just marks, less seems to be hidden as opposed hiding eyes behind sunglasses.
I like the first one, the cross-hatch drawing - very nice..
