As She Appears

As She Appears

Someone may think this isn’t finished
That I stopped and didn’t start again
Someone might wonder if a drawing
Is ever really done
Do we not just stop
When the image is clear
When the past filters through

Someone may think they know
That I stopped when I saw her again
Someone might wonder if her ghost
Is ever really gone
Do we not just stop
When the image is clear
When the anger returns

Random doodles, while in a waiting room a week ago. They were all just strangers until…
3.5”x 5.5” ballpoint pen on paper, of course

  1. Aren't we all just strangers...until we get to know each other?
    This sketch is fascinating, Anthony.
My eyes were initially drawn to the central figure...then, as those on either side came into focus, I found more and more detail appearing in each one.
    This is wonderful.:)

    1. Aren’t we all… It’s that move from knowing, to believing in, what ultimately isn’t shared.
Your review on my sketch, makes me wish I had finished it☺
      Thank you

  2. This is a perfect example of not seeing details when we see others in a crowd...but then a familiar face stands out, or one person stands out above all the others and their details do come into focus while the others slip into the background.

I very much enjoyed this wonderful drawing and I for one like it just the way it is, Anthony~

    1. I thinks it more, about how some people in past continue to haunt.

  5. Beautiful words and drawing. Your work is always inspiring. Are any of our ghosts ever really gone?

    1. Thank you
All my ghosts still manage to appear. I’m still waiting for memory loss to kick in.
