For
the third time this week I was in a session “J” was modeling for. This is a
quick portrait of the pose she provided for the Independent Painters Group this
morning.
Beautiful portrait and I love the colours on her and around her,she has this quiet dignity, whether by her or your drawing it's beautiful and you do her justice, bravo Anthony x
This is truly amazing...how DO you do that - her skin is positively glowing! She seems deep in thought too...and the background is strongly suggestive of flames...yes, that's it...there is a fire behind her...and I see her on a beach at night, attending a beach party. She is awaiting the arrival of her partner, anticipating a wonderful night ahead. Oh I do hope he arrives soon...:)
The background I have to admit was an attempt to put more life in this portrait. It might have been better to have let the background match the mood of the pose.
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.

ReplyDeleteI wasn’t very kind in this portrait. I didn’t pull out her best qualities, though it is a close likeness.

DeleteHi Anthony! My comment got in the spam box? Anyway, love the colors & contrasts ,and attitude as she seems holds inner dialog with herself...
ReplyDeleteThe pose was long. The background music heard too many times. the conversation with herself, unavoidable☺
DeleteThank you
A really super portrait - your skill makes me feel as if I know her!
