Touches
of Rage
No
she didn’t intend
The
rage wasn’t there
Emotions
well past
Showed
up everywhere
Covered
her beauty
The unintended stares
Some
sketches drawn while “E” posed. No, there wasn’t any rage.
1st:
12”x 9” fountain pen and chalk on toned paper
2nd: 24”x 18” graphite and
sanguine
Still I got a chill, and I lover what you wrote...touches of rage...happens and you draw it ...maybe some left-over rage somewhere comes through your art and gets it out..a chill, I feel

DeleteLeft over rage is probably the closest explanation, if it really was there to come through. It obviously interfered with where I would have wanted each of these sketches to go.
Rage goes from fear, 'covered her beauty' ~ so true... so, your intention to say that beauty can serve the negativity too....it's again about choice: to show the anger or compassion....thanks for bringing it in the sketch.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to cover the beauty. Yes the choices to be made. I wonder if I was just off or if what I drew was inevitable, based on the moments mood?
DeleteI perceived no rage...only a kind of sadness...in her eyes...her pose.
ReplyDeleteSet me wondering if, perhaps, you were feeling just a tad "low" when you sketched her?
There is so much emotion in these beautiful sketches - far too much for just one person...
Your wondering is correct and most likely responsible for the title. Not capturing her portrait as I would have liked contributed to where the words went too.

Bonjour cher Anthony,
ReplyDeleteCe méli mélo de sentiments est brillamment mis en scène... Une rage de mettre en évidence votre modèle, son corps, son visage, ses sentiments... A nous de décrypter et de s'emparer de l'histoire...
Gros bisous ☂
A few lines in the wrong place can go good or bad☺ She was expressing drama. The rage is mine..
