Morning and Afternoon

Morning

Afternoon

“B” was the model for two sessions I attended yesterday. These are of a longer pose from each of the sessions.
Change of hairstyle and maybe add clothing, maybe the time of day for her as well as for me, and two different women appear.
Morning: 18”x 24” oil sanguine
Afternoon: 9”x 12” fountain pen, oil sanguine and chalk on toned paper.

  1. Yep, younger vital woman in the morning, and deeper, more serious one in the afternoon. Great!

  2. I thought it was two different women! Maybe it's the hair. The nose is the same....

    1. Time of day, clothing and hair make a difference. I think media and my morning verses afternoon performance contributed too.

    1. She pulled her hair into a pony tail for the afternoon. That and the clothes and the time of day and my disposition when drawing her earlier and later provided for the extremes.
      Thank you
