Within

Within

I had them escape
After I invented them
Finding their way back
Back to where they claimed
They were from

Decided I belonged
With them
Them from within
So here I am now
Searching with these lines

Drawing the entrance
Filling it with ink
Foolishly pretending
I too can escape

Islands off solitude
3.5”x 6” fountain pen

  1. Oh no...this is no pretence...I have just stepped into their world too!
Thought I escaped, but there is no way back from the arched doorway...not that I would ever want to escape once inside such a magical land of blue lines and palm trees...:)

    1. I agree once in, why leave? I wonder if imagination works once within?

  2. I wonder if your imagination is strong enough to get back into this world of magic you create for yourself and for us too and everyday I wonder what can I do, seriously where can I go, you can't hide away, that would be so lovely wouldn't it to hide in your Islands of Solitudes forever for it seems your drawings are the only dreams I have left and that is so sad

    1. Maybe once within, once imagination wins, thoughts of escape and hiding might be replaced by true solitude?
