Outside the Walls (Initial Sketch)
This was the original doodle that lead to the painting of the same title I posted here last week. I guess this was the original idea. I was just looking back. The idea of walls feels so much stronger without the opening shown in the final painting.
I must say I do like the figures in the painting more though.

  2. I see a street scene, somewhere in the Middle East...perhaps Oman.
    The figures are all in national costume...

    1. I can see this too. I think the scene has a more local feel of dress in the painting that followed.

      You can run through… The middle is where the opening will usually be. You can find the opening easier in the referenced painting.
