A Form of Conversation

A Form of Conversation

The silent conversation
snakes around sausage-like liquid,
bulging balloons
threatening to explode,
always long after,
with only a drawing
to remember
what wasn’t said.

More sketches of poses “B” provided for the drop in life drawing session over the weekend.
1st three: 9”x 12” fountain pen, oil sanguine and chalk on toned paper
4th: 12”x 18” oil sanguine the white stuff

  1. It is very expressive...bravo Anthony the poses are so real, and the last one straight on, she really looks at you and you made look very displeased with you , way to go Anthony!!!

  2. In the first three, she is in conversation with unseen people...I find myself leaning forwards, hoping to catch the gist of their topic (being of a somewhat inquisitive nature!).
In the last, she is waiting for you to speak. She is warmer in this one too...seems a little sad though...perhaps fearing her poses may have disappointed you.
Impossible, of course...she is a fabulous subject...one who brings out the best in your wonderful talent! :)

    1. There are a lot of these conversations taking place as she directs each of her poses toward various vantage points in the studio.
      Thank you
