Seated With Long Pole

Seated With Long Pole

My drawing of “P” from a pose he provided yesterday morning.
I’m really not sure what was being acted out. I guess he could be fishing from his throne?
24”x 18” pastel on colored paper

  1. Really like how lately you started to add some more color to the sketches. The image gets richer, focused on details.

    1. Often the pose ends before I have time to consider color.. I’m not good at working on a piece once the model is through.
      Thank you

  2. Once again that strength, the look of him, and his sword, that wonderful face, I have to remember that these are your visions and your art, and not actually real, you're awesome!

  3. OOops don't know if my comment went through, his force, his face, the way he is, is reminiscent of kings of old of War Lords who saved villages he has the look, and then I remember he's not real, he's just a wonderful vision from you Anthony, you're awesome

    1. He was probably more himself in this pose than is typical for him. I’m not sure he knew what to do with the pole once sitting in the chair was proposed.
      Thank you

  4. Ha...I see him seated in a gondola, just resting between passengers. But, of course, his regal throne gives the game away...he is clearly no ordinary gondolier...
This is indeed awesome...the delicate colours inject such life into his pose - make him really stand out from the paper.
    Oh I love this! :)

    1. He could be.. He could be where his passengers sit waiting for new tourists to arrive.
      Thank you
