The opening is through the wall of the ruins
of Kilchurn Castle on the northeastern shore of Loch Awe. We were touring a bit
of the Scottish Highlands yesterday, mostly in the rain.
Yes,,,sounds right ("in the rain") for Scottish Highlands! Such a beautiful part of the British Isles, captured so accurately here...I remember this view from when I was last here, six years ago. You have inspired a longing to return soon with this fabulous painting! :)

Yes they really are beautiful. The rain and the mist where the valleys extend up into the rain filled clouds made the views even wonderful.
