Monument to Emily

Monument to Emily

This is the third and last sculpture I sketched this morning at the Victoria and Albert Museum. It will be the last for a while as we leave London tomorrow morning. The sculptor was Lawrence Macdonald. He completed it in 1850.
12”x 9” fountain pen and chalk on toned grey paper.

  3. Oh I would love to know Emily's story...who she was, the life she lived, what she is thinking.
She seems very deep in thought.

    Safe journey home...:)
