Monument to Emily
This is the third and last sculpture I
sketched this morning at the Victoria and Albert Museum. It will be the last
for a while as we leave London tomorrow morning. The sculptor was Lawrence
Macdonald. He completed it in 1850.
12”x 9” fountain pen and chalk on toned grey
paper.
Very nice and interesting your drawing art work at the Victoria and Albert Museum !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good time in London !!!
London was a lot of fun. I’m going to miss the Victoria and Albert.
DeleteThank you
She's stunning, you draw so well, i can only see the bottom partly unless I click then i see the right, altogether, I can put both pieces together and she is beautiful
ReplyDeleteI hope you can see all of her at some point??
DeleteHer beauty rewarded her with a monument, I’m sure
Thank you
Oh I would love to know Emily's story...who she was, the life she lived, what she is thinking.
ReplyDeleteShe seems very deep in thought.
Safe journey home...:)
She was the countess of Winchilsea, or so it said on the plaque.
DeleteThank you. We a train to Edinburg today. A few more days before we fly home.
