I
was at the Victoria and Albert Museum this morning sketching sculptures. The
sketch here is of a sculpture by Aime- Jules Dalou (1836-1902).
One
of my favorites at the V&A.

Bonjour Anthony,
Gros bisous ♡
Thank you
DeleteSketching is a good way to feel, to touch the beauty of so many things, especially the art preserved in these museums..
Magnifique travail !
ReplyDeleteThank you… Thanks too for visiting.
DeleteWhat a lovely drawing you made of it, it's beautiful, touching and oh so full of love, bravo for getting that across Anthony
ReplyDeleteThe sculpture itself is so moving, my favorite in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
DeleteThank you so much
After reading Lorraine's comments, there isn't much more I can add...except the extreme tenderness you have captured with an intensity that brings a lump to my throat.
ReplyDeleteOh this is SO, SO, beautiful. :)
The sculpture really is wonderful.. Just getting the basic likeness, I think, easily draws this praise.
DeleteThank you
