Your title seems to add something to the painting, if you know what I mean. It works. I like the different colors. Happy travels! I was there once, on the shore of that tumultuous North Sea. A great place for a painter, as for a writer.
I’m hate to admit, I think I get more excited by the behinds of boats than most other behinds. I do love boats☺ I did love visiting these few villages on the North Sea. I wish I had had more time. The views to paint, as well as all the stories to listen to and maybe write about from a few evenings in the local pubs would be wonderful.
I love this so much, funny it reminds of a painting that I bought that has houses and the back of boats and I tried lord knows I tried, it turned out not looking at all like the painting, now this is wonderful has the beige houses there were 2 two boats one red one blue...and oh Anthony if I had managed anything that even came slightly close to what you drew I'd be in HEAVEN, you are the best, I love this so much!!!!
I’m sure many artists have viewed and painted versions of these boats in these small fishing villages. I could resist these boats from behind. I’ll look for the painting.
Gosh, tried to make out the name of the painter, it's one of my favourite paintings looks like Capital a or u than maybe UPHVNY rhRN phllny ..could it be...Anthony?..the n looks like a p, I'm going to send you a photo of the painting, imagine it were yours?????? what are the odds....
I’ve not been to the village before, so this is the first time I’ve painted this. I don’t remember painting similar paintings of fishing boats in the past. Still looking for the photo☺

Aah...the true essence of summer holidays! This wonderful painting takes me back through a myriad of past holidays and had me delving in old albums for snapshots. I have been to this part of Scotland, although many years ago. It is so beautiful in this area that I was tempted to search for a property here and migrate!! :)
It was a memorable visit. I was checking out the properties and for sale signs I came across, imagining holding up in one of these villages on the coast to set up a studio and escape the rest of the world for a while.
The sketches, paintings and sometimes the writing I post on this site express what needs to be known about me. I attempt to record on a daily basis what I observe, what I imagine, and sometimes what I dream about.
I hope you enjoy my art, and the dialogue.
If interested in purchasing my art, please contact me through my email address: tonyduce@comcast.net

DeleteA harbor can be a wonderful place for someone like yourself.I like the use of minimum colors and the ink lines in this beautiful piece.
