“P” Before Poseidon
In the morning yesterday, at the beginning of
the day, “P” posed for a life drawing session I attend. It was later in the day
he became Poseidon (previous post).
These are few sketches from his poses in the
morning using burnt umber watercolor as a wash.
Both: 24”x 18” watercolor on cold press

Bonjour Anthony,
ReplyDeleteJe suis toujours très admirative... Vous travaillez beaucoup et j'aime l'énergie qui ressort de vos oeuvres.
Votre Poséidon vous tient en haleine...
Joli croquis.
gros bisous
When working with models, the work is easy. I just have to show up. They do the work. I just draw or paint.
DeleteThank you
and still so many qualities you've shown us that makes giant and mighty man possible. For better or worse they have existed before and they will again, I have no doubt.
ReplyDeleteThe qualities are his.. I’m just recording what I see.
DeleteVery nice gestural drawings, Tony.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I am struck by the life in these drawings.
ReplyDeleteThey are so vivid and fluid.
I can practically SEE him breathing! Very well done.:)
Thank you.. This is easier in some mediums more than others.
