“ST”
This Morning
He
played the usual role in these poses. I added the slight smile in the pose where
his face actually appears. There actually wasn’t even the hint of a smile. “S”
was playing the same part, being lonely and maybe in despair. It’s a common
theme and what is usually asked, it seems, of the model in a typical life
drawing session.
Each
of these poses were twenty minutes long. Holding the standing bent over pose
for so long had to be painful. I thought he was still figuring out what the
pose would be, when he said that was it.
All
are pastel on colored charcoal paper on sheets 18”x 24” in size
drawings are superb, I love that you add the shadows, for it makes him real, and yes he must be uncomfortable, working for your art, I thank him
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how uncomfortable he was. he's in much better shape than I. He's into yoga and other similar forms of exercise.
DeleteThank you
Yes, it must be really hard work having to hold those poses for so long. I, too, am grateful to him.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you gave him that smile. When I saw the first picture, I felt so sad for him - he looked so forlorn!
These are wonderful Anthony.:)
WOW especially that third pose must have been hard to hold... Lovely, Anthony. Me likes :-)
ReplyDeleteNot to many will even try that pose.
DeleteThank you

ReplyDeleteThank you..
DeleteHope the colored charcoal paper works well for you too.
