Faces Stolen

Faces Stolen

Some sketches yesterday, of stolen faces, before heading out for the day.
All: 5.5” x 8.5” fountain pen, chalk, and a little oil sanguine (for one) on toned grey paper

  1. wow these are wonderful each from a different era, forced into being painted, while they're screaming inside except for the first one she showed the scream...The first you drew looks like an Indian, the second a woman from France, the third, definitely American ah all terrific though, wow

    1. All three are American, I’m pretty sure. The top is Catherine Keener, actress. The second is Clara Bow, actress from past. The third a native American, without an identifying name.
      Thank you

  2. Gosh...these faces...stolen from the morning's beginnings...could be yours or mine...so many emotions, expressed unobserved, yet recorded by the Master Artist for all time.
    Oh WOW...
