Valour and Cowardice

Another favorite sculpture at the Victoria and Albert Museum by Alfred Stevens. I finally attempted sketching it.
9”x 12” fountain pen and chalk on toned grey paper

    "Valour and Cowardice"...another duality we all carry in our psyches...deeply felt...of the human condition.

    1. I find it so interesting. The figure depicting valour is somehow more fragile and smaller than the larger figure depicting cowardice below.
